As a guide, we suggest the following would need action and then non-urgent repairs should be reported to us to be dealt with on the next working day, on our return to the office;
. Gas escapes.
. Water escape which is likely to cause serious damage to the property.
We would also like to advise you that should you call out an emergency contractor, you may be responsible for the bill if it is deemed not to be an emergency repair as listed above.

For total loss of power please check with a neighbour in the first instance to establish whether there is a fault in the road.
If you have been advised that the property you are renting has a level of British Gas cover, please contact them in the first instance on 0333 202 9604 to see whether it is covered.
In Winter months and cold weather , to minimise the risk of burst and frozen pipes it is essential that the heating is left on constant at around 12-15 degrees. If you go away, we would additionally suggest that loft hatches are left open to allow warm air to circulate.
